2 Weeks!

Wow... we leave in 2 weeks!! This is coming very quick! We've been preparing in several ways:
 - Johnny's been in the field finishing a tiling project and helping with harvest - a very busy season and a very busy farm!!
 - I've been practicing my Thai almost everyday, I hope I can remember it when I need it.
 - I've made lists of what to pack. Wednesday is my trial packing .... we'll see how it goes
 - Still doing lots of Thailand research
 - Filling my Kindle with books to read - have any suggestions? Please post!
 - Cleaned out my garden and making my things with the produce...many many things! :)
 - and... hanging out with friends and family! :)

Guess What I Learned?!?

I've been doing daily lessons in attempt to learn a bit of Thai language before we land. Today I counted to 100 in Thai!! I've also learned how to have a very basic conversation... this is going to be interesting!!  I only hope I'm pronouncing the correct way!

One more step...done!

We made booked our flights this morning! We leave October 8 - wow that's less than a month away! Also we sent off of Visa applications today - hope to get them back soon! I've been reading up on all things teaching in Thailand today, learning so much!

It's Official!

It's official! We've been placed at Wat Khemapirataram School in Nonthaburi, Thailand. Nonthaburi is a suburb of just north of Bangkok.

The Beginning of our Adventure

We have wanted to travel abroad for quite sometime, the timing finally worked out. After researching many companies, we decided to go with CIEE. We applied in December and in April we got accepted!! Let the adventure begin...
